We're excited to officially introduce Fuel-Local®—a consumer education movement created by IDEAL Energy Cooperative Member-Owners to celebrate and support independent, privately-held fuel delivery, service and HVAC providers.
WHY WE CREATED IT
We believe consumers should know the story behind the businesses they choose.
Choosing local can mean supporting local jobs, building lasting relationships, keeping dollars in the community, and supporting the people and organizations that make our communities home.
Fuel-Local® is about helping consumers understand why local matters.

THIS MOVEMENT BELONGS TO LOCAL BUSINESSES
Fuel-Local® started with a simple idea: the people who know the value of local best should be the ones telling the story.
The movement was created by IDEAL Energy Cooperative Member-Owners — independent, locally owned fuel delivery, HVAC, and energy businesses that live, work, and serve in the communities they call home.
These businesses know that being local means more than having a local address. It means knowing your customers by name. Answering the phone. Showing up when the weather turns. Hiring people from the community. Supporting the local team, school, organization, or cause. Building relationships that can span generations.
Fuel-Local® gives these businesses a collective voice to tell that story.
It brings together independent businesses that may compete in their individual markets, but share something bigger: a belief in the value of local businesses and the communities they serve.
Through Fuel-Local®, Member-Owners can share their people, their stories, their community involvement, and their commitment to being there for their customers. The goal isn't to tell consumers who to choose. It's to help them understand what choosing local can mean — and to put real people and real businesses behind that choice.
