About the event

The amendments implement registration and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reporting requirements for companies selling and distributing heating fuels to homes and businesses in Massachusetts and implement a reporting requirement for fuel storage facilities.


The final regulation includes a registration deadline by December 1, 2024. MassDEP is deferring this deadline, and registrations for heating fuel suppliers will be treated as on time if they are completed by January 31, 2025. The registration must be completed in CHETS for propane retailers. A form is required for propane storage facilities. PGANE recommends that all our members retailing propane or supplying propane to Massachusetts complete their registration prior to January 31, 2025.


PGANE will provide guidance to members on these finalized amendments which include upcoming quarterly reporting requirements starting in January for first quarter of 2025 and will be due by all propane retailers in Massachusetts on April 30, 2035.
